Rowman & Littlefield Education

In 1999, the Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group acquired the Technomic Publishing Company's line of books in education, renaming it first ScarecrowEducation and, most recently, Rowman & Littlefield Education. The imprint publishes professional books for educators at all levels as well as books that address the needs of parents, school board members, legislators, and the general reader interested in educational issues. Its five journals--The Journal of School Leadership, The International Journal of Educational Reform, The Journal of School Public Relations, Teacher Education & Practice, and The Journal of Evidence-Based Practices for Schools--are among the most respected in their fields. Rowman & Littlefield Education also publishes the highly respected hm Study Skills program for students in pre-K through grade 14.
Thomas F. Koerner, Ph.D., who is executive director emeritus of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, serves as vice president and editorial director of the imprint. Dr. Koerner, who has had a long and distinguished career in educational publishing, has expanded the publishing program significantly in the past five years to include more than 700 titles. Noteworthy is that several national associations serving educators co-publish their books with Rowman & Littlefield Education.
